I believe in the wisdom of nature. All we have to do is look around us, observe the earth, the sky, the water, what the sun and the wind and the seasons do to our environment and how they affect us.
So our projects are about bringing back that awareness of nature, in nature.
“Replanting a Rainforest” is our flagship project, read more about it at: www.replantingarainforest.org. The project is in Brazil where we are partnering with Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza (FAF – www.fafbrazil.com), an organic coffee and banana plantation built in 1850 in Mococa, in the state of São Paulo. FAF is owned by Silvia Barretto and Marcos Croce, with whom we have the privilege of “Replanting a Rainforest” for the protection, preservation and restoration of the native Atlantic Rainforest (Mata Atlântica) on the estate.
In Argentina we are partnering with Cielos Patagonicos (www.cielospatagonicos.com), an exotic and remote retreat in the southernmost mountain ranges of Argentina bordering the “Cordillera” of the Andes separating Argentina and Chile. We are privileged to be working with one of the founders, Rafael Smart, who some 11 years ago together with a few hundred friends purchased more than 60,000 hectares to protect and preserve the nature and habitat for future generations.
At both of these place we are working to create sustainable communities, in close cooperation with local communities and with respect for the laws of people and nature.
